Some things will never be the same again

It's times like this where I sit here and I think of all the things that were - but isn't right now. I've been sitting here for an hour wondering if I should write this post or not, but I think I will. I've committed to being honest truthful and open, see this blog, and I will. Time to pour thee heart out. <3 ===>

And then we fail...

We all have them, the failed relationships that litter our past, both lovers and friends. Sometimes a smell reminds us of the fun times that we had together, or a sound or a place. Whatever it is, sometimes I can't help but become saddened that those strong and happy relationships we had in that past will never be the same again. It's not always a bad thing, because at any one time we all have enriching relationships that keeps us powering on through life and I'm grateful for them. I guess I can't be greedy and want it all, life isn't like that.

A pleasant reminder...

I guess tonight was one of those nights where the memories with someone that I grew fond of came rushing back into my head. I can't really blame her for putting us in a situation where we don't really feel comfortable even looking at each other, it was my choice to make and I made it. Despite what I chose, I can't help but smile at the times we had together and the mischief we got up to. I hope one day that it wont be strange and things will go back to normal but I'm ready to accept that some things will never be the same again...sorry for being a bad friend...

I still miss her though :(

Wengie is sadfacing  - and I miss when I was young and things were simple

Make up post: I'm burning with ambition!

If you are female, you are most likely to be obsessed with MAC. I'm guilty of spending way too much money on these cute little pots of goodness, it's a bit of an indulgence! My newest make up tutorial was made because some lovely girl requested it, and I'm happy to oblige.

What I used in this make up tutorial was MAC's mineralized eyeshadow duo called illusionary burning ambition, or in other words a brown and gold combo. I love how complicated the names of the products are when really it's just a shimmery brown and gold :).

I had fun filming this tutorial, after I watched the playback however , not so fun :P I still haven't gotten over the embarrassed feeling when you watch yourself on camera again. Ash was also nice enough to point out how abruptly I started the video "SO I MADE THIS VIDEO" -- end shouting... It also rekindled my love for this eyeshadow, I used to use this everyday, but for the past 6 months it's been sitting unloved in my drawer.

I hope you enjoy it, and give it a go with similar colors if you don't have the pallet :)

Here are some photos of the look:

Add lip pout :{}

How are you doing??
This pose makes my face look smaller :D + pout for extra awesomeness

I had to take a photo with mikki :) *Meow!!*
And the video...

YouTube comments are so entertaining

The best  bit about putting videos up on YouTube is just reading the bunch of comments that come through - some which are downright hilarious. It seems like on YouTube everyone's not afraid to say what they think and being the biggest smart-ass makes you popular. Being Australia, you get a lot of questions about your accent. Most people think you sound weird, or English and sometimes Canadian.

What you can do with $2

I used to spend so much money on clothes, I had this idea that branded clothing made me cooler, but I think anyone can look good without spending a lot of money.

My $2 floral cotton on dress was paired with:
Hat from Hong Kong $5,
Jacket from Mike & Chris $650,
Shoes from eBay $39

I used to be obsessed with expensive fashion

I guess my obsession with fashion and especially Australian fashion brand such as sass an bide, tsubi or ksubi as they are called these days, Alice McCall an so forth began in uni hen I took my advertising major. The people in my accounting major looked like major bums, so I felt pretty well dressed in that crowd, but as soon as I started taking my advertising subjects, it opened to me a whole new world (cue Disney song). Girls there wore the nicest designer jeans carrying Chloe bags, and I wanted in. I ended up spending a small fortune on Chloe bags, louboutins and Australian designer jeans.

But I realized now with a cupboard full of clothes, you don't need to spend a fortune on clothes to look good, it's all about how you accessorize and mix and match. I mean I still get weak at the knees when I'm looking at Chanel but I'm reformed... I hope :)

My cheap fashion find moment

There is an item in my outfit that cost me $2! Yup, for less than the price of your coffee you can buy a cute floral dress from cotton on! In so proud of this find, and you ever get a chance there ate some gems in the market city cotton on clearance store. I've picked up decent cardigans for $5 that was still retailing for full price in their other stores! I think the trick is to get nice accessories so the outfit does not look plain.

Now go out there and find some bargains :)! Would love to see what you can pick up for $2! Or $5 ;)

Corporate Cats! Random LOL

So this is just a random post. Me and my boyfriend got bored and decided to do this:

Hope you enjoy it :)! Please share it if you like it!

So much can happen in so little time - Rhianna Rude Boy Music Video Cover - Behind the scenes

I remade one of my very old pieces to Rhianna because I had to submit a video for the URBANSTAR YouTube Artist contest 2012, unfortunately for me, I didn't realise how hard the song is to sing, silly me! It was pretty fun getting all girly again for this video! Seems like a long while since I danced like a woman :).

A lot can happen in such a little amount of time

beginning my motivational speech ;)
So hi there, you sitting there in your chair :)! I'm sure you have some dreams of your own, and if your not out living them you should start! ASAP! The biggest excuse I find people have is "I don't have time to..." [insert whatever you need to do to live your dream]. And you know what? I used to have the exact same mentality...but I realised something. The things that actually help you get to where you need to get to happen so very quickly! Whatever you are doing now, you are just working towards that moment where it all changes. For example, you may have been dancing your whole life but it takes that one moment when you get the part in an audition or win a competition to really make your dreams a reality, and those moments happen quickly! If you weren't already dancing, you'd never have the opportunity to get to that one moment :). - end motivational speech here.

I've always wanted to entertain people on YouTube (a weird ambition I know), but being someone who doesn't have much video editing experience or "had the time" to, I've hardly done much. In addition I'm scared of looking stupid and don't think what I do is good enough. I've created a few videos here and there with my webcam and imovie but that's as far as it went. Creating a proper high quality video seemed so out of reach and seemed like it took so much effort, but when I was put under pressure - I did it in 3 nights, and I intend to keep working as hard and getting better at this (please hold me accountable and stop me from being lazy!) If you have any pointers for me please let me know :)

3 nights of awesomeness

So as I mentioned above video took 3 nights to pull together and was extremely fun :)! I spent one night teaching the choreography, one night filming and one night editing. I had a lot of help along the way which I'm am really grateful for! So thank you Honey and Cynthia for dancing, Jason Queue for filming with such late notice and last but not least my lovely bf Ash for editing and taking photos on the day :) Also a big thank you to Dance Generation Studios in Epping for providing the lovely venue.

The most fun part of the night was probably playing with the smoke machine smoke hahaahaha - I am quite easy to please.

Here are some photos from the filming. [scroll to the end for the video]

Going through the choreography - note to self - don't sweat too much during this time or it will be caught on camera :P

Some cool artistic captures by Ash through the video camera - it just looks cool!

Just had to add more in because it looks so good :)

The dancers ;) Cynthia being heaps silly and Honey being cheerful and excited as always <3

Cuties <3 :)
hahaha don't mind me this looks abstract!

During one of our breaks, we decided to get some cool shots!

Practiced my duck face :()

The lovely boyfriend Ash ;)

I'm sad I didn't get more shots of Jason but here he is filming the intro scenes. Talented guy :) You must check out his other works!

Good games, good times, awesome experiences

So, for those that have known me for a while, you will remember that I was in love with a game called DDR (which is short for dance dance revolution -  one of the first dancing games that came out). I used to play that game every weekend and I was totally obsessed with it. Well now I dance and teach dancing part-time. So how is this related? Well I got given an opportunity to be featured as part of good game -spawn point on the ABC. They do weekly profiles on people who took skills or loved to play games and made it into a profession or a job. So now I'm sure it's starting to make sense.

I'm really grateful to be given this opportunity, especially since I found out the show has a 40% share of the market when it comes to children TV on Saturday mornings. Although I won't be recognised on the streets anytime soon, it was still extremely fun experience :)!!! So I'd like to say thank you to Lin Jie for giving me this opportunity :), Gavin the sound guy and Susan the camera Lady and of course Goose :)

How the day started

The day started off with filming scenes of me playing DDR and again I had the pleasure to be filmed playing one of my favourite games. I had forgotten how much stamina is needed to play that game. Back when I was young I could play all day, but now I started to die after 3 games. Luckily we got the shots we needed in that time :). It was time for an hours break and lunch.

Back at the studio

The second part of the interview was filmed at the studio. We did a interview set, where I had to stand on a box, because the height difference between me and Goose (the field reporter of the show) was too great. Hahaha TV lies! It felt comfrotable because I got to speak to Goose and ignore the camera.

The dance set

The final part of the day involved me teaching a short routine to Goose. This was extremely fun and he did really well, despite having no formal dancing experience. My students came to support and learn the routine too :) Thank you Ash Pan, Andrew Chong, Davie Pants, Prasith, Joanne or coming along a supporting :)!! Big shout out to you and I was really glad to share the experience with you guys :)!

Good old DDR :) I had fun with my mario hat!

This is us doing the interview - I put this picture in to show you my box I got to stand on!

Hehe, this is our oops we are screwing up moment

I had to put this picture in because goose just looks like he is mind boggled :)

Getting ready to go through our set with the gang!

One on one dance tutorial time :) Goose picked it up so quickly!

Opps we did it again

Thanks for reading <3
