Ombre Hair

I'm not sure if you have noticed but Ombre hair is pretty big right now! I can't decide if I'm liking it or not and whether asians should even try this look. I mean most of us have already sported this look sometime during our lives when we attempted to dye our hair in (our experimental stages) in high school and then was forced to grow it out. I used to be the hair of shame, but now it's cool.

The only attractive thing about this look is you can look cool and be extremely lazy about dying your roots :)! Keeping my hair light to medium brown is hard work for my naturally black hair. Not only is it extremely damaged, you get roots appearing in 2 weeks. URGH!

After doing a bit more research, I noticed that there are a few variations of Ombre hair. Here some images of celebs and such sporting the "natural" ombre look. This ombre style, uses natural colours almost like a variation of the traditional highlights, but grown out:

Isabelle Lucas does this daring ombre from almost black to white blonde. It looks good on her though, because she's just so hot :P

No more goody two shoes Blair, Leighton Meester, looks really good here!

Rachel Bilson  has a more subtle ombre :), she looks good in everything!

Asians with Ombre, well it helps she's half asian. Looks awesome :)

After sitting on the fence on this idea, I've really begun to like it. I've trolled around the net some more and found a few more variations.

Pink and multicolored ombre. Now I'm really loving the pink version :) I'm thinking of giving this a go, and after the pink washes out it'll just be the natural blonde.

Love and marriage

One of my close high school friends got married tonight, the second one from my high school group. It was so weird seeing her growing up, and becoming I guess, a woman? She looked very different with all her make up but she looked beautiful :)

The ceremony was a very traditional catholic/Christian wedding and I was once again reading the words of god. Love was a huge theme of the day and it got me thinking about love and how hard it is to find in a relationship between men and women these days.

What was once meant to be sacred (marriage) is now taken for granted. What we see in the media and productions these days never respects this bond. I mean for a guy to go out and do whatever they want barbs apparently socially acceptable even when his in a relationship. I don't know about you girls but that's not cool...

I hope one day we all push for more love and respect between each other :). I hope that all women get tested with the respect that they deserve..

Enough with the deep and meaningfuls... Here's the outfit I wore today :)

I'm totally addicted to Instagram

So, I think I have a problem, and the fact that my 1 gig data plan has been blown is a pretty good indication that my problem is in fact real. I haven't been able to separate myself form my mobile device and instagram for quite some time now. I have this new obsession with getting more followers...

This obsession is bordering on unhealthy. I've gotten to the point where I am started to TEST out theories on getting followers. I've tried the like people's photos method which got me some followers. I've moved onto the follow other people to get more followers. I've also updated my profile to an inspirational quote, hoping to motivate people to follow me.

I think I must have tried and tested many many theories throughout the past few weeks. The most effective is a combination of follow and like. I find that people that have a lot of followers already are more likely to follow you, people that have less are less likely to follow you. Go figure.

I think I've ranted enough about my instagram follower obsession. I'm just trying to kill time while I wait for Telstra customer service to tell me when my data pack is going to reset so I can rekindle this need for instagram.

And yay! I have an extra gig! I'm happy now!
